Cottonwood Lumber

Cottonwood Lumber

Cottonwood (Populus Deltoides) is one of North America's largest hardwood trees. Cottonwood has sapwood that is white in color and heartwood that has a tan to brownish tint. Cottonwood lumber has a coarse grain, is relatively soft and has average strength. Cottonwood is of fairly low value and is used mostly for pallets, skids, and other shipping crates where low value wood is mostly used. Some other characteristics of Cottonwood are that it is light in weight, and easy to carve.

Common uses for Cottonwood lumber include pallets, skids, shipping crates, and other low grade construction.

Cook Lumber Company has the capabilities to provide large quantities of Cottonwood lumber to companies worldwide while complying with all national and international lumber laws.
